Hey, thanks for the reverting! I'm usually not in on the weekends (but usually in during the weekdays) and wow, that's a handful! I banned a few more keywords and hopefully it would help enough!

Hey again, sorry for the long layoff - was actually on vacation. The reason why I didn't install anything new was because we've been using MediaWiki 1.3 until now. I finally got the install to work for 1.10, so I will add a few new things.
Some things are shifted around and should be fixing in the coming days.

I added a few more plugins, but it doesn't appear to be helping enough.. I'm not too up to date with these, do you have any recommendations?

I looked it up and it seems like "edits" that don't add links aren't prevented, and for some reason someone wants to just vandalize, which is the case here.
For now I've added a captcha check for every edit. Hopefully I can take that off in the future.

- I really don't know much about this extension, but it seems to work. The captchas are annoying, but it seems to be the only way to stop the massive spam/vandalism attacks.
- The edits removing '+' signs are strange, and I have seen similar edits on other wikis. Probably a bug in the spam-bot. Ahy1 12:14, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
- Well, the alternative is just to "ban" the bots, since registration requires a captcha now, so in theory no new bots should be created, and eventually we'll ban all of them.. but that might be more work for us short-term.. Larry 12:41, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
